Sella Walks - the routes and the guides
These pages outline possible week´s programmes. Obviously we adapt the programme to the needs of the walkers, the weather and local events.
All walks will be led by English / English speaking guides who know the routes well and who live locally. The idea is to enjoy the walks and to take some gentle exercise, so we avoid really steep climbs, scree slopes and loose rocks and we generally categorise the routes as "easy to moderate". We are very fond of picnics - including local produce and local wine.

Your Walking Guides and leaders

All our walks are led by experienced walkers who know the local area and speak English and Spanish. Martin lives in the village with his Spanish wife and has an extensive knowledge of the area and local mountain routes. Steve  has had his Sella houses for over twenty years and is an experienced mountain leader having taken parties up hill and down cave in Yorkshire, the Lakes  and The Auvergne in central France in his time as a teacher at a Leeds High School.  Carlos is a Spanish language teacher and historian with  an extensive knowledge of  the locality and  Valencian history and folkore - go on! Ask him about it! Liz is an experienced walker  but her role will be mainly organising the catering, barbecues and picnics. She has a history in nursing and nurse training at a Leeds University and has become a keen student of Spanish.
