The maps I´ve referred to in this booklet belong to the 1:25,000 series produced by the Instituto Geografico Nacional. Sella is at the centre of sheet 2, page 847 - hence 847-ll. A couple of routes spill out of this onto neighbouring sheets,- sheet 1 of Altea 848, but it really isn´t worthwhile chasing it up. If you´re used to British Ordinance Survey maps, the Spanish ones lack clarity, accuracy and style.

Gill Round´s excellent little book in the “Rother Walking Guides” series, Costa Blanca (ISBN 978-3-7633-4837-4) is very helpful and the starting point for several of our routes. She´s another neighbour of ours and we may persuade her to join some of the walks.
