We´ll stick to this schedule unless there´s good reason to alter it - weather, unexpected local events or if you decide you´d like to do something different. The Tour DÉspaña cycle race is due to pass through Sella on the Sunday, so some roads may have restricted access, forcing a change in plans.

Breakfasts will usually be at 9.00 a.m. And we´ll plan to leave on the day´s walk at about 10.30. Lunches will be at the most convenient time but when we´re having lunch at a Sella restaurant, 2.30 is a normal lunchtime. Evening meals will be at 8.30 or 9.00 - again, these are the normal Spanish restaurant times. Coffee, tea etc are always yours to make in the kitchens.

Day 1 - Tuesday Sept 1st:
Your flight will be met at Alicante Airport and you will be brought straight to the village where you can settle in to Casaroc and La Casita de las Nubes, , the neighbouring houses you´ll be occupying for the week. Allowing for Airport disengagement and driving time, you should get to Sella at about 18:00 After a welcome drink and snack, we´ll leave you to acquaint yourselves with the village. About 20.30 you´ll have dinner on the terrace at Casaroc.
Day 2 - Wednesday Sept 2nd:
La Ruta del Agua - (8.8 - 10.00km, +- 300 - 350m ascent) This such a convenient way to orientate yourself in Sella that I´m including it again - though Mike and Carol have been this route before. We follow the route of Sella´s water irrigation canals down to the Mill, up to the “Hort de Gloria” and around to the Alcántara spring and so up through the woods to La Solana . This time I hope to be able to do the variant that takes us up along a series of tracks past the observatory. We end up at La Solana for our main meal, a barbecue / buffet out on the terrace, care of Liz.

Maps
The Mapa Topográfio Nacional sheet 847 - ll :Relleu” map is still useful but there´s a fantastic new map just been published and available in the village. It´s centred on Sella, has accurate and carefully researched detail and uses colour in a powerfully illustrative way to suggest contour and geographical features. José Miguel, a local climber and walk leader, has been largely responsible for putting it together - there´ll be a copy in Casaroc for you to consult and take with you on our walks. (see bibliography on page 8)

Guide books: Rother Walking Guide - Costa Blanca (Gill Round) This is still an excellent resource and many of our routes are described in its pages. There´ll be a copy in Casaroc
